Tender description

We are seeking a nursery provider that will allow us to continue to provide Ofsted regulated childcare to our staff in a 46-place nursery on our Watford General Hospital site. Many of our staff work on a changing shift pattern and this needs to be reflected in the running of the nursery. The nursery opens from 7.00 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year. We are seeking expressions of interest in a nursery provider that will allow us to continue to provide Ofsted regulated high quality childcare to our staff in a 46-place nursery on our Watford General Hospital site. Many of our staff work on a changing shift pattern and this needs to be reflected in the running of the nursery. The nursery opens from 7.00 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, 52 weeks a year. On 29.9.2019 the Trust was informed by the Government that it is to be in receipt of significant funding, following a request for capital to improve the Trust’s buildings and facilities across the three sites and the publication of the health infrastructure plan. It is currently anticipated that significant change will take place on the Watford General Hospital site to improve the infrastructure, layout and provision of services. At this relatively early stage of planning it is therefore not possible with certainty to predict what will happen to the area on the Watford site where the workplace nursery is currently situated, and it is for this reason that we can only offer a 3-year term. The successful bidder will be required to provide all equipment needed to perform the specified service. The current service is provided by Busy Bees Nurseries. It is expected that TUPE will apply to any resultant contract. Further information regarding this opportunity can be requested from the main contact.
