Tender description

The Council procured a partner to assist the Council in the provision of the highway service so that the authority can meet its obligations and statutory duties. The provision of service is anticipated to initially include but not belimited to: — minor repairs: respond to minor maintenance, potholes and general defects on the highway in accordance with response times, — 24 hour emergency response: fast response service to deal with highway related incidents, — winter service provision: labour provision for pre-salting of the highway network, — drainage cleansing and landscape maintenance — gully cleansing, grass cutting and tree works, — surfacing schemes (including surface treatments): patching and surfacing, surface dressing, micro asphalt and slurry sealing, — structure maintenance: bridge replacement and repair schemes, — street lighting: routine maintenance cleaning and replacement with emergency response, — countryside service: repair and maintenance of public rights of way, — construction schemes: various disciplines.
