Topographical survey for 12 schemes on the National Road Network to enable TCC to undertake detailed road designs for road pavement overlay/inlay works.

Tender description

To scope of the survey works is to: i. Establish and survey a control network that will enable mapping to be produced as detailed in Section 5. ii. Carry out a ground survey as described in Section 6. iii. Prepare a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and other digital information as detailed in Section 8. The scope of the topographical survey shall include, but is not limited to: a. All relevant features of the existing roadway including the centreline, existing edges of pavement, hard shoulders, rutting/wheel tracks, break lines, kerb lines, footpaths, ditches, verges, embankments, green field areas, culverts, street furniture, signing & lining, drainage, driveway entrances and junctions. b. All obvious depressions across the existing pavement including any rutting, wheel tracks, break lines, cracking and previously repaired pavement shall all be surveyed at close intervals such that the precisions set out in Section 6.5 are achieved throughout. 3D laser scanning technology is required for the entirety of the survey.
