Tender description

The aim of this contract is to increase school meal uptake in Sheffield through a transformed school meals service that: — provides a high quality, value for money school food service that is designed with the customer as the main focus, — encourages strong partnership working between the contractor, school communities, the council and its partners, — offers a tailored, flexible and responsive service that is both right for Sheffield and also meets the needs of each individual school community, — actively works to improve the health of Sheffield’s children and young people, — encourages local businesses to be involved with the service, — is based on a mutually beneficial and strong commercial framework that works to the advantage of all parties, — to support service delivery by putting in place a strong commercial framework in which the service can be effectively delivered and commercial risks be effectively managed.
