Sale & Removal of Loose Scrap Metal

Tender description

This contract involves the collection of designated scrap metal materials, the measurement of such materials, the removal of such materials and payment for such materials to be made to Iarnród Éireann (IE). IE propose to award this contract on a fixed price percentage basis for three years term initially with the option to extend for a further two years (one year plus one year) on the basis of an annual review at the end of each term. The review will involve an analysis of the prevailing German BDSV (Durchschnittliche Lagerverkaufspreise) rate in relation to the agreed rate paid by the successful Contractor. IE would require written confirmation that the rate paid by the successful Contractor under this contract will accurately reflect any fluctuations in the German BDSV (Durchschnittliche Lagerverkaufspreise) rate, particularly any fluctuations in favour of IE i.e. an assurance that the benefits of such fluctuations will be passed on to IE accordingly. For the avoidance of doubt, no fee or charges shall be payable by IE to the successful Contractor for the Services required under the Contract.
