Tender description
Single use theatre protective clothing products that are designed to protect both clinicians, staff and patients from cross-contamination covering single use gowns, drapes, face masks, eye protection, headwear and overshoes. Surgical masks — fulfil the requirements of EN 14683, the European standard on surgical mask requirements and test methods. Some masks come with eye protection built in. Eye protection — reduces risk associated with surgical site splashes that may lead to infectious contamination through the mucous membrane of the eyes. Respirators — FFP3 is a filtering facemask effective at protecting NHS staff against transmission of influenza and infection. FFP2 offers a lower protection than the FFP3.
