Tender description

The University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust is made up of the following Hospital sites: — Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, — Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, — Good Hope Hospital, — Solihull Hospital. The Department of Neurosurgery are interested in procuring services to deliver neurosurgery outpatient activity within provider premises. This includes both cranial and spinal conditions and may include a requirement for use of diagnostics such as MRI/CT/Neurophsyiology. The authority are looking for providers from December 2019 to March 2020 reduce waiting lists by approximately 1 000 patients. The authority anticipates that the majority of patients will be discharged at first appointment, or by letter on receipt of appropriate investigations. Patients to be listed for surgical procedures will be returned to the authority. The Trust is looking for a provider within the local proximity to all Trusts sites in order to reduce the distance for patients to travel for appointments.
