Tender description

Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Ltd (NIE Networks) has a requirement for the supply and delivery to sites within the Northern Ireland Electricity Networks area of cable duct seals for installing in various duct types and openings for cables to provide a gas-proof, watertight seal for all cables passing through the cable transit. All duct seals offered shall be suitable for the complete sealing of cables and sets of cables passing through various wall transit systems. Cables will be MDPE or PVC sheathed materials as per BSEN 60811, Ducts will generally be smooth wall PVC or Polyethylene cable ducts to EAS 12/24 either 150 mm or 100 mm internal diameter. There is also a requirement to seal smaller service cable or fibre optic cable within general telecom style duct 32 mm diameter. The service cable is generally within a cavity mounted metering chamber.
