Athlone Institute of Technology - RFT for the Supply of a Packaging Testing Suite

Tender description

Tenders are sought for the supply and installation of a packaging testing suite for the characterisation of the biodegradation and permeability of alternative sustainable packaging solutions for the Material Research Institute (MRI) at Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT). The packaging testing suite is needed to support the Irish packaging industry in the development and migration to new eco-friendly alternatives in the food packaging area. The packaging testing suite will be housed in the CISD laboratories of the East Campus Research Hub building, which is part of the Athlone Institute of Technology’s Main Campus. The packaging testing suite comprises of three independent pieces of equipment which will be used to characterise the permeability, performance and biodegradation of polymer packaging samples. The Suite comprises of: Lot 1 - Oxygen Permeation Analyser Lot 2 - Water Vapour Permeation Analyser Lot 3 – Polymer Biodegradation Monitor
