Tender description

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames tendered for the provision of household recycling, waste collection and associated services. The duration of the contract is ten (10) years (120 months) with the option to extend for a period or periods of up to a further ten (10) years (120 months). The contract comprises of the provision of the main household waste and recycling collection services delivered over a five (5) day weekly cycle (Monday to Friday). This includes: household recycling and waste collections, bulky household waste and WEEE collections, public recycling site collection services, and commercial waste and recycling collection services. In addition to the main household waste and recycling collections, the Council is also seeking provisions for several related services, container and Associated items — provision and management and end markets – dry mixed recycling, but reserves the right not to award a contract for all or any of these elements. The evaluation was conducted on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender with 60 % for price and 40 % for quality.
