Tender description

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), established by Government under the Sustainable Energy Act 2002, has a mission to play a leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and practices. The objective of this RFT was to invite proposals from suitably qualified tenderers with a view to establishing 5 multi-party frameworks for the provision of legal services. SEAI intended to appoint 3 framework members to each of the following frameworks: Lot 1: Administration of Public Functions and Corporate Governance Lot 2: Employment and Pensions Lot 3: Data Protection, Information and Intellectual Property Lot 4: Energy, Renewables, Environmental and Transport Lot 5: EU and Competition Law and Public Procurement For more information, please refer to the RFT published on www.etenders.gov.ie This lot encompasses the majority of the services SEAI requires to carry out its public functions, powers and duties. SEAI acquired statutory obligations under its establishing legislation and a number of specific statutory instruments, it also has certain obligations flowing from its designation as a public sector body. SEAI is seeking to appoint 3 service providers with extensive experience advising public authorities in all area of public law to this framework. Under this lot, SEAI will require the provision of services relating to employment and pensions law to comply with its obligations as an employer. SEAI is seeking to appoint 3 service providers with extensive experience advising public authorities in all area of employment law and state pensions to this framework. Under this lot, SEAI will require the provision of services relating to data protection to comply with its obligations as a data controller and information to comply with its obligations as a public sector body. SEAI is seeking to appoint 3 service providers with extensive experience advising public authorities in all area of data protection and information to this framework. Under this lot, SEAI will require the provision of services relating to Public, Administrative and Regulatory Law for the following sectors: energy, renewables, environment, planning, infrastructure and transport. SEAI is seeking to appoint 3 service providers to this framework with extensive experience advising public authorities and providing a full range of legal services across the named sectors. Under this lot, SEAI will require the provision of services relating to public procurement, competition and state aid law to comply with its obligations as public sector body. SEAI is seeking to appoint 3 service providers to this framework with extensive experience advising public authorities on public procurement, competition and state aid law.
