Tender description

The University of Birmingham intends to award a 1 year contract to ASK4 Ltd to include provision of its student wired and wireless internet provision and its Intercom/VOIP service in student accommodation to cover the period 31.8.2020 to 31.8.2021. It is envisaged that the value of the contract extension will be in the region of 336 895 GBP excluding VAT. The University of Birmingham intends to award a 1 year contract to ASK4 Ltd to include provision of its student wired and wireless internet provision and its Intercom/VOIP service in student accommodation to cover the period 31.8.2020 to 31.8.2021. It is envisaged that the value of the contract extension will be in the region of 336 895 GBP excluding VAT. The current arrangement has a number of other dependencies that are not sufficiently aligned to allow for a fully integrated procurement process at this point in time. The University of Birmingham has identified that for reasons of exclusivity and compatibility with the existing provision of data infrastructure, ASK4 Ltd is the only supplier capable of fulfilling the University's requirements at this time. A procurement process will be advertised in the Official Journal of The European Union in the next 12 months with the view of a contract to be awarded by 31.8.2021. The University has recently conducted a request for information process for the supply of wired and wireless services and will be engaging in further pre-market engagement over the intervening 12 month period.
