Tender description

The vehicle support team (VST) — part of the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation within the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) intends to place a contract with Hobson Industries Ltd for the supply of Land Rover Spares for a period of 9 months with an estimated maximum value of 3 000 000 GBP. This is necessary to ensure the continued support and availability of the platform for the UK Armed Forces whilst a long term support solution is developed. This is necessary to ensure the continued support and availability of the platform for the UK Armed Forces whilst a long-term support solution is developed. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice, pursuant to Article 28(1)(e) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations 2011 for technical reasons, and Regulation 16(1)(a)(iv) for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by, and not attributable to, the contracting authority).
