Tender description

The Royal West of England Academy (RWA) is seeking to appoint an Architect to develop the design to transform the visitor experience to this listed building. The proposed works include refurbishing the foyer area to include new welcome, orientation and retail space in addition to creating a larger destination cafe and landscaping the forecourt to provide a welcoming and functional access route to signal the all-inclusive accessability of the building. The requirement is for the successful contractor to develop the design up to RIBA stage 3 plus to enable a round 2 NLHF bid. Subject to the outcome of this bid, the appointment will continue through the delivery phase. This will include obtaining all consents and planning permissions as outlined in the supporting document.
