Tender description

Reactive and planned maintenance of Peterborough City Council’s Photovoltaic (PV) panels located at its corporate and school sites. Peterborough City Council (PCC) invites quotations from suitably experienced organisations who can demonstrate knowledge and skills in undertaking planned and reactive maintenance of Peterborough City Council's Photovoltaic (PV) panels located at it Corporate and school sites. PCC owns and operates a portfolio of 46 corporate and school sites with Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems, a number of which include battery storage. These PV systems are for the purpose of economic benefit, ensuring security of supply and reducing environmental impact. The PV panels have not previously been subject to a programme of planned maintenance however, identified remedial work has been undertaken and purchased on an ad-hoc basis by an existing supplier, on approval by PCC. Consequently the conditions of the panels will vary from site to site. The successful supplier is expected to undertake their own survey of each site to understand the condition of each PV system and identify any remedial work required to bring the systems up to a safe and acceptable standard and ensure that they are maintained at this level. The Council undertakes an annual asbestos survey of all its sites. A number of sites within the scope of this procurement are identified as either having or may have asbestos present.
