Tender description

Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC) sought to establish a framework with contractors that could provide a current and operational facility, which provides a reliable, effective and satisfactory service for the hire and haulage of skips and for the effective management of recycling and disposal of all controlled waste in accordance with the framework, call-off terms and conditions and associated procurement documents. Skip hire for housing (including welsh housing quality standards WHQS, housing repair operations HRO and building maintenance). Skip Hire for General Use across CCBC (excluding Housing WHQS, HRO and building maintenance). Contractors must be able to supply, deliver, collect and dispose/recycle waste collected through the hire of skips for all service areas within the Council. Skip hire, delivery, collection, treatment and disposal for asbestos waste. A suitably qualified, experienced and licensed contractor is required for the recycling and disposal of controlled waste within Caerphilly County Borough Council. The recovery of dry recyclables from a mixed municipal solid waste (MSW) stream (achieving 75 % recycling annually) as well as the recovery of dry recyclables collected via a co-mingled system (achieving 80-90 % recycling annually).
