Provision of Architect Led Multidisciplinary Team for the Redevelopment of the Listed Former Magistrates Court, Kidderminster

North Worcestershire Economic Development & Regeneration (NWEDR) provides economic development and regeneration services for the three North Worcestershire local authorities of Wyre Forest District Council, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council. For this project, NWEDR is seeking to commission a multi disciplinary consultancy team on behalf of Wyre Forest District Council to produce plans and associated development costs, alongside a feasibility study/business plan that will help to deliver the comprehensive re-development of an existing Grade 2 listed building in Kidderminster, known as the former Magistrates' Court and indoor market, as a multi-functional, multi use creative innovation hub. This commission is split in to two component parts, as follows: • Phase One: RIBA Stage 1&2 plus additional work demonstrating viability and Business Case for the proposal • Phase Two: RIBA Stage 3&4, delivering detailed designs and delivering a planning consent at the site Following submitting an Expression of Interest to the Future High Streets Fund WFDC were successful in reaching the next stage of the bidding process which requires us to firm up the proposals outlined in the EOI stage and to produce a Full HMT Green Book Compliant Business Case to support the interventions being proposed. The purpose of this commission is, therefore, to provide a much more detailed piece of work for the former Magistrates Court and bring the vision that the Council have for this building to life.
