The Volunteer Driver Service will consist of two separate schemes: The purpose of the Volunteers Drivers Scheme for Vulnerable Children & Young People & their Families is to provide the safe and reliable transportation of vulnerable children and young people and on occasion their parents and/or carers referred to the Scheme from the Council, in a way that is sensitive to their particular needs and circumstances. The purpose of the Adult Scheme is to provide safe, affordable, person centred and reliable transportation to vulnerable adults to ensure they are able to attend important appointments that are designed to improve or sustain their health and wellbeing.
