Lot 1: Creative or interactive installations/productions. For the purpose of this tender exercise a creative or interactive installation/ production must contain at least 3 of the following: — a large number of performers (10 plus), — contain large scale prop(s), — have high visibility within a large crowd/from a distance, — special effects, — deliver a story/theme creatively. Lot 2: Street Theatre Shows. For the purpose of this tender exercise a street theatre performance is defined as: — any performance lasting between 3 – 40 minutes long, — engages crowds of up to 100 people at any one time, — does not require any staging/special production for delivery, — features performers and has a theme. Please note that street theatre shows does not include walkabout characters. Lot 3: Large Scale Carnival Props For the purpose of this tender a large scale carnival prop is defined as: — a static piece that is too large/heavy to be lifted by one individual, or — a large movable prop that requires 2 or more people to lift/carry it. Lot 4: Site dressing For the purpose of this tender site dressing is defined as the provision and installation of: — decorative dressing of a festival zone using lights, flags, bunting, bespoke decorations, puppets, small props all based around a specific theme that has been requested by Council, — provision of infrastructure for a festival zone such as furniture, picket fencing, pagodas, etc. All of the companies applying for this lot must note that they will be responsible for the collection, transportation, installation and de-rigging of all the site dressing they are procured to provide. This may include working at heights, manual lifting and use of cherry pickers. Lot 5: Festival Music Management For the purpose of this tender festival music management is defined as the sourcing, procurement and management of all live music performances for a Council event. The successful individual/company will work with Council officers to procure a music programme that reflects specific festival themes and within a specific budget to be agreed in advance. The successful applicant will also provide all artist liaison and stage management in their role. In some circumstances the music producer may retain the income from the event organised depending on the scale, type of event and festival budget available.
