***PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION*** UK Research and Innovation have a need for the supply of IDL (Interactive Data Language) licences for the UK astronomy and astrophysics research community. IDL is the standard, product specific tool for data management and handling in much of physics and particularly astronomy and space science. This licence allows the entire UK community, as supported by UKRI STFC, to access this product, via 4000 transferable software licences and associated hubs supporting a community covering almost 70 different groups in over 40 research institutions across the UK. This Single Sourcing Action (SSA) was approved in line with regulation 32 (5)(b) for additional deliveries by the original supplier which are intended either as a partial replacement of supplies or installations or as the extension of existing supplies or installations where a change of supplier would oblige the contracting authority to acquire supplies having different technical characteristics which would result in incompatibility or disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance"
