Tender description

The liberty square enhancement scheme works comprise: — widening of existing footpaths in liberty square and provision of pedestrian crossing points (including one controlled pedestrian crossing in Liberty Square), — re-configuration of existing carriageway in Liberty Square (N75), — removal of existing car parking spaces from Liberty Square and construction of lay-bys for parking, loading and taxi rank, — construction of an off-street public car park (approx. 100 spaces) and reconfiguration of existing adjacent public car park off Slievenamon Road (including access improvements), — public lighting throughout Liberty Square and car park, — drainage, — undergrounding of overhead ESB cables in Liberty Square, — landscaping.
