Tender description

Opportunity: 1) Partner on a new high specification Innovation Centre; 2) Partner in the digital infrastructure opportunity at the Saint Patrick’s Barracks regeneration site (SMART District). Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is developing a state-of-the-art 9 000 m2 innovation centre at the Saint Patrick’s Barracks site in Ballymena to support regional economic growth. We have secured funding for this centre from the Belfast Region City Deal, with an investment of 26 000 000 GBP. In addition to the range of SME support located at the innovation centre, it will act as a digital hub driving the digitisation and expansion of a regional innovation eco-system. 1) Partner on a new high specification Innovation Centre, 2) Partner in the digital infrastructure opportunity at the Saint Patrick’s Barracks regeneration site (SMART District). We primarily wish to identify potential partners interested in the development and installation of the digital infrastructure across the entire Saint Patrick’s Barracks regeneration site and its immediate environs. However, we are also keen to hear from interested parties around: — investment in wider SMART and sustainable infrastructure and testbeds such as energy and environmental, — innovation/digital technology sector businesses interested in locating to the site.
