Tender description

To provide the sample bottles containing correct fixants where applicable and determinant analysis of circa 2 000 influent, effluent, river, sludge and sewer samples, over the contracted time period. The purpose of this data is to feed into the national chemical investigation programme to better understand the presence and significance of specific chemical pollutants and emerging chemical risks to the environment such as pharmaceuticals, micro plastics and antimicrobial resistance. This obligation is set out in the Wales National Environment Programme (NEP) and English Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) and constitutes a statutory obligation for Dŵr Cymru.
