Tender description

The National Physical Laboratory [NPL] requirement is for an unmanned aerial measurement platform capable of collecting spatial hyperspectral reflectance data for satellite validation and test site characterisation. The purpose of this system is to move away from on-ground point spectrometer measurements which are time consuming to collect and restricted to accessible land cover types. The system needs to be able to work across the 400 – 2 500 nm wavelength range, provide additional sensors to correct for platform movements and surface height and not exceed 19 kg take-off weight (including all batteries, instruments, sensors and UAV).
