Forestry management services

Tender description

DCC wish to retender the current forestry management services agreement to appoint a suitable contractor capable of providing services associated with forestry management for ECARE. The agreement will require the contractor to deliver forestry management services and associated works on DCC woodland areas as DCC Forestry Manager (FM.) The contractor will manage all aspects of the commercial and amenity forestry under DCC control. The DCC forestry manager will promote the interests of forestry on behalf of DCC, develop afforestation, the production and sale of timber, as well as various nature conservation and biodiversity duties. The forestry management and associated works services will include: — all aspects of felling (including licences and sales at the most advantageous price), — all aspects of replanting (including pest control, preparation of suitable forestry plans and preparation of material for public relation purposes), — representing DCC forestry interest in the relevant. The forestry management and associated works services will include: — all aspects of felling (including licences and sales at the most advantageous price), — all aspects of replanting (including pest control, preparation of suitable forestry plans and preparation of material for public relation purposes), — representing DCC forestry interest in the relevant fora. Services may also include tree safety and compensation valuations and other associated services which may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
