FM19302 - Spare parts for watertight doors on the RRS Sir David Attenborough

Tender description

The purpose of this contract is to appoint a Principal Contractor on behalf of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) to deliver a range of spare parts for the watertight doors of the RRS "Sir David Attenborough". The original parts supplier is Winel, a machining manufacturer based in Assen, Netherlands. Under the terms of their original warranty, only spare parts sourced from the original manufacturer or their approved UK supplier can be used within the first two years of the contract, or the warranty will become void. LK Valves, based in Merseyside, are Winel's approved UK supplier. The value of this contract will be £61,813.99. The procurement was commissioned in line with Article 32:5(b) of the Regulations; "for additional deliveries by the original supplier which are intended either as a partial replacement of supplies or installations or as the extension of existing supplies".
