Tender description

Hull City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to undertake refurbishment and upgrade works required at the East Park Splash Pad, East Park, Hull. The successful contractor will be required to provide a PWTAG compliant water play area which meets to safe bather specification. The proposed solution will result in reduced (low) maintenance and provide a robust, reliable Splash Pad with assured longevity of the finished product. Works required to deliver the East Park Splash Pad scheme will include the following:- • Site clearance and removal of old play features • Decommission of plant room and equipment • Decommission and Removal of derelict toilets and seal/ remove drainage runs • Clean down and survey of existing concrete footprint • Design and installation of new plant and filtration equipment to current PWTAG standards • New drainage and pipe runs • Raise levels of existing pool area to form splash pad • Install and connect new water jets • Construct new Toilet, Concession stand and wardens office • Lay resin bound path around concrete base • Realign bow top fence to follow path to form perimeter of site • Slurry coat in chosen colour(s) • Testing and Commissioning The Authority has decided not to divide the contract into lots because a specialist PWTAG compliant installer should be used to ensure compliance with current standards.
