Debt Collection Agency (Former Tenant Arrears)

Tender description

This tender relates to the collection of former tenant arrears (FTA). WCHG has a significant number of terminations each year, many of which leave properties with amounts of debt outstanding. After a tenancy has ended with outstanding debt, we start the tracing process for former tenants and if found they are asked to pay an affordbale amount back so the debt is cleared within a reasonable period of time. Where a former tenant does not respond or they breach the agreement, we then refer the case to the Debt Collection Agency. The methods of debt collection expected will include: o Telephone o Paper o Doorstep collections (non-essential) Once contact is made with the former tenant, the DCA will be expected to have a range of convenient and cost effective payment options.
