Tender description

Award of a single supplier Framework Agreement for sampling, laboratory analysis and reporting from sewage works, river sites etc, across the Thames Water geographical region, in the South of England. The total number of samples will be approximately 2 600 over the initial term of the contract. These will be undertaken through a phased scheme of work for Chemical Investigations Programme 3 (CIP3), the majority of which will take place in the first year (and sixth year if extended). All results must be reported within specified deadlines. The range of substances to be analysed in CIP3 is an extension of that carried out in CIP2. The groups of substances to be sampled include; metals, flame retardants, antifungal substances, sanitary determinands, substances of specific environmental concern, pharmaceuticals, insecticides, substances of emerging concern. The scope for all research themes is included in a scoping document, being commissioned by UKWIR (UK Water Industry Research). We intend to award a single supplier framework to a competent, experienced and technically proficient supplier capable of completing all of our sampling and analysis requirements for the Chemical Investigations Programme 3, including any additional sampling and analysis that we may require throughout the duration of the contract.
