Tender description

The requirement was to contract with an accredited certification body to provide initial ISO 9001 certification and surveillance activities to the whole of DE&S. The certification body shall hold a suitable accreditation, with the right scope, from a National Accreditation Body (NAB) such as UKAS, who is a signatory to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) or IAF Accredited Regional Multi-Lateral Agreements (MLA). The contractor is required to deliver the following: (a) to scope the most appropriate approach to certification for an organisation of the size and nature of DE&S and conduct a gap analysis; (b) to achieve initial ISO 9001 certification for DE&S in 2020; (c) to incorporate existing ISO 9001 certifications into the DE&S certification; (d) to maintain surveillance and certification for ISO 9001 over the standard 3-year assessment cycle.
