Rochdale Adult Care Services and the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) acknowledge the important role that unpaid Carers, who care for their family members and friends, make to the Health and Social Care economy and the impact that caring can have on the health, wellbeing and quality of life of Carers. We are committed to improving the service offer to Carers in the borough of Rochdale and increasing the number of Carers supported in their caring role. Working in partnership with stakeholders and carers themselves we introduced a new universal model of carer support in 2015. We now have the opportunity to build on the work undertaken to date by the current Service Provider and further develop our new model as we wish to continue to commission a single universal service.
