Tender description

Following publication of a contracts finder opportunity notice, PHE has awarded a contract for a Georadis GT-40 Radiation Survey Instrument to Pycko Scientific. Following market engagement, it was determined that only the Georadis GT-40 has a gamma assay function allowing for assessment of concentrations (Bq/g or Bq/ml) of various radionuclides within a sample (of known weight/volume). This function provides a decisive saving in lab time which makes it an essential requirement. Pycko Scientific is the sole UK distributor of the model of GT-40 suitable for PHE's use.
