Medway Council want to commission a leadership and management programme to: • Embed a culture of effective management to improve practice and development with the children and adults social work services and teams. • Allow managers to manage and leaders to lead effective social work practice and enable them to achieve the skills they need to improve performance, value their staff and identify the ‘blockers’ within their service • Provide managers with the training, tools and support they need to deliver improved services for adults and children in Kent and Medway by delivering a consistent and standardised way of working, making ‘service improvement’ the norm involving all staff, improving workload planning and supporting strengths-based and relational social work practice.
