Tender description
This is a prior information notice (PIN) for information only. It is not a formal invitation to tender. You will need to respond to the contract notice in order to be considered for this contract. The purpose of this PIN is to maximise transparency and competition for the upcoming contract notice. All details in this PIN are subject to being updated or changed in the final contract notice. The London Borough of Islington (LBI) is committed to supporting its residents to live healthy, purposeful, independent, connected, and fulfilling lives. The primary purpose of supported housing is to support residents to develop the necessary skills to manage a tenancy and address individual vulnerabilities. The eventual aim of supported housing is to enable residents to sustain tenancies of their own when they move on from this provision, be this in the private sector or in social housing. Housing first support services. Supported housing for adults with multiple needs — high support: Islington Council will be inviting suitable expressions of interest from experienced organisations for the provision for supported housing (accommodation and/or support services) for people with ‘multiple needs’ defined as the experience of 2 or more of homelessness, offending, substance misuse, and mental ill health (including non-diagnosed mental ill health). In common with other areas of the country, the number of people in Islington requiring housing related support is set to increase over time and the Council is preparing plans for how we will best support those people in the future. Therefore, Islington Council is looking to increase its pool of providers of accommodation and support services for people with complex needs, including substance misuse, and offending. We recognise the importance of high quality housing and support and see developing additional housing provision as a key strategic opportunity. In preparation for the planned procurement we are undertaking a housing soft market test and welcome feedback to support our future provision. An optional market test questionnaire has been published via the London Tenders Portal. To access the questionnaire, please go to the London Tenders Portal and express an interest in contract: Prior Information Notice 1920-0223 Supported Housing and Housing First Support Services for Adults with Multiple Needs. This is not an invitation to tender nor does it preclude or favour eligibility to participate in the formal procurement once it starts. The purpose of this PIN is to maximise transparency and competition for the upcoming contract notice and engage with the market to test current market capacity. Gender-specific supported housing for adults with multiple needs — high support: Islington Council will be inviting suitable expressions of interest from experienced organisations for the provision for supported housing (accommodation and/or support services) for people with ‘multiple needs’ defined as the experience of 2 or more of homelessness, offending, substance misuse, and mental ill health (including non-diagnosed mental ill health).
