Tender description

The young people’s substance misuse service in Sheffield provides a coordinated and effective response to the needs of young people, and additional support for vulnerable young people. The service provides early help and prevention through workforce development; offering training, consultation and resources to front line staff in schools and colleges and other organisations working with children and young people across the voluntary and statutory sectors. The aim of the service is to reduce the number of young people aged 18 and under who misuse substances and whose substance misuse impacts negatively on their lives, their families’ lives and their communities through robust prevention and early identification strategies and high quality targeted interventions and specialist substance misuse treatment.
