Purchase of a Amnis ImageStream MKII Flow Cytometer. Purchase of a Amnis ImageStream MKII Flow Cytometer for one of our research labs. This machine is being procured for the following reasons: 1) The Amnis imageStream is able to uniquely combine the quantitative power, speed, sensitivity, quantity and multi-parameter phenotyping abilities of flow cytometry with detailed microscopic images of individual cells as they are typed by cytometry; 2) The system is able to produce multiple high resolution images of every cell directly in flow, including brightfield, darkfield and multiple fluorescent markers with sensitivity; 3) The system is able to quantify both the intensity and the location of fluorescent probes ad can analyse high heterogeneous samples and rare cell sub-populations.
