Summary of the work • To be a single point of contact for all participating trusts within the Kent & Medway Cancer Alliance from IT implementation perspective. • To support the implementation of the Infoflex System in delivery of the Recovery Package and Stratified pathways. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 5 months Latest start date Monday 4 November 2019 Maximum Day Rate £470 a day Who Speclialist Work With Based within a IT Project Teams This will include working with the cancer teams to ensure that the IT functionality is in place for the implementation of the relevant elements of the Recovery Package (Holistic Needs Assessment, Treatment Summaries & Cancer Care Reviews) The post holder will also be responsible for system implementation that will support teams in the design of stratified pathways and changing how patients are followed up. What Specialists Work On The successful candidate will support the Implementation of the Infoflex System in line with the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance delivery plan. This will involve working with the East Kent CCGs, Macmillan GPS, Cancer Alliance stakeholders and the other acute hospitals in Kent & Medway to deliver the IT element of the programme. The successful candidate will implement the IT function that will support the delivery of the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance objectives. The post holder will also be responsible for system implementation that will support teams in design of stratified pathways and changing how patients are followed up. Skills & Experience • Extensive experience of working in a project environment. You must fulfil this requirement. • Extensive experience of work with different project management methodologies. You must fulfil this requirement. • Knowledge of NHS Cancer systems, specifically Infoflex, and business requirements of differing Trusts and NHS organisations in Kent and Medway • Experience of using high level IT functionality Nice to Haves • Knowledge of or experience within the Kent & Medway Cancer Alliance • Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies applicable to health and clinical practice. Work Location Based in Folkestone but will involve travel all around Kent and Medway. Working Arrangments Preferred Option 3 days a week, but would consider 5 days a week Mon-Fri Security Clearance None Additional T&Cs The terms and conditions governing this contract will be the standard DOS 4 T&C's. The incumbent's contract is due to expire shortly and this opportunity is not in addition to the current incumbent. 6. Is this a part time role? It is preferred that this role is for 3 days a week, but 5 days a week would also be considered. 7. Is this within IR35 or outside? It is assumed that the role will be outside of IR35.
