Can you confirm the rate and IR35 status on this role? We are expecting applicants to bid in - the rate will be somewhat set by this.Without having consulted employment law specialists, the role should be outside of IR35 as we would accept a similarly skilled and security cleared replacement if necessary. 2. Is there a current incumbent No. We have previously worked in partnership with other teams that use their own developers. 3. rate please – at least a guide ? Bids and acceptable rates are dependent on the skills and expertise of the applicant team - e.g. a less experienced developer will not be able to make an equivalent bid as a veteran developer. We are expecting a range of bids and will consider them on a case by case basis. 4. What is the earliest date the candidate can start? Immediately (the next working day after) after this procurement process has completed and we have notified the successful bidwriter. 5. I am confused by the skills required – you mention Dynamics CRM, Power BI and Salesforce – a Developer shall either be a Dynamics CRM Developer or a Salesforce Developer so which one is the preference? If there is a choice that has to be made, we would prefer the Salesforce developer. However, we will consider the potential of the Power Dynamics bids as well with a BA if there is an either/or choice. 6. Is the the same role published 21 Oct as a BA https://www.digitalmarketplace.service.gov.uk/digital-outcomes-and-specialists/opportunities/10926If it is a different role, why is the job spec the same? If they are different roles, what is the difference in the requirement? This is a different role in the same project team. The requirements are similar because the two roles will work very closely together and it is ideal to have people who can communicate effectively. The difference is that the developer will be primarily developing and secondarily communicating, while the BA will be primarily communicating and secondarily working with the developer on the development. 7. Will you be able to SC Clear a suitable developer? We will sponsor the security clearance upgrade, but as this can take up to six months starting from scratch, we will require applicant bids to already have some form of clearance. 8. There is no day rate stated on the opportunity and no reason stated – please could you advise what the day rate is for this opportunity? The reason there is no day rate is that we have not set a formal budget for this opportunity. We are expecting a range of bids from bidwriters with different suggested day rates linked to the skills and expertise of the candidates. 9. Please can you advise whether you would like hands developer or someone who will manage other people to complete development work? We would prefer a hands-on developer. While there is some partial scope for advising others on development, we anticipate this role to primarily be (1) building a website and (2) developing and installing new modules into an existing system.
