Tender description

The North Kesteven District Council (the Council) wants to establish a site investigation services contract(s) for the provision of professional and technical services within the district. The requirement is for the contractor to provide variety of ad-hoc services on sites owned by the Council and by the third parties to obtain a comprehensive understanding of a sites’ viability for development, for example in terms of contamination and geology. The services required under the contract shall be split into 4 lots. Each lot shall be awarded as a separate contract. A different contractor may be awarded each lot or a single contractor may be awarded all/multiple lots. The contract(s) shall be let for an initial period of two (2) years intended to commence on 6.1.2020 with the option to extend for two (2) further period(s) of one (1) year(s) up to a maximum contract period of four (4) years. The type of service that might be expected under the lot has been listed below. However, it should be noted that the indicated surveys, testing requirements and reports below are not exhaustive. From time to time additional services may be required by the Council: — comprehensive desk-based geotechnical hazard survey — flood risk survey, — contaminated land survey, — environmental impact survey, — site investigation survey, — geophysical survey, — monitoring of contamination in ground water and ground gas (for contaminated land), — ground investigations, — soil, rock and material testing, — minerals survey, — utilities searches and mapping, — utilities detection, — noise impact survey, — vibration survey, — air quality survey, sampling and monitoring, — topographical survey. From time to time additional services may be required by the Council: — preliminary ecological survey, — ecological impact survey, — vegetation survey, — ecological and protected species survey, — arboricultural advice and condition survey. From time to time additional services may be required by the Council: — transportation/traffic modelling, — transport survey, — public rights of way advice.
