Tender description
Lot 1: Open Source Additive Manufacturing 3D printer Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery & installation of an open source Additive Manufacturing 3D printer which utilises standard polymer granulate as the feed material. The Material Research Institute (MRI) at Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), require the supply and installation of an open source Additive Manufacturing 3D printer for the production of polymer prototypes and components from standard and modified polymer granules. The system must consist of an enclosed, safe and heated build chamber which is suitable to process at high temperatures up to 180°C. The instrument must be accompanied by a software interface capable of touch screen technology for the control of individual processing parameters for optimum control. The entire coupled system must be designed to allow the installation of upgrades issued in the next 24-36 months to allow incorporation of various different printing head/nozzles for complete versatility in terms of material usage. Must have the capability to print with a minimum of three different materials during one continuous process. Lot 2: Industry 4.0 Ready Micro Injection Moulding Machine Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery & installation of an Industry 4.0 ready micro injection moulding machine with integrated clean room capability which supplies class 6 clean air according to ISO 14644-1. The system must consist of an automated system to remove the moulded components from the tool and offer up to additional systems. Additional systems include a rotary table, an optical parts inspection system and a conveyor belt or glass container for finished parts. The machine must include a tool which will make small test specimens
