Bury Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced provider for: The Repair of Catering Equipment, Including Annual Inspection and Service of Gas Appliances SCOPE Bury Council’s Catering Service operates in most of the authority’s high & primary schools and is looking for an experienced and qualified service provider to repair all types of Commercial Catering Equipment, both Electrical and Gas, as well undertaking annual inspections and the service of all gas appliances in the kitchens. In addition to the school kitchens, there may also be additional council catering equipment that may be included in this contract. In addition the successful contractor will also be registered with the appropriate bodies. The contract is for a fixed period of 3-years with the option to extend up to a further 12-months. PLEASE NOTE: All prices are to be fixed for the first 2-years of the contract. The key elements of the contract are: Responsive maintenance & repair of Commercial Catering Equipment. Reconditioning and Refurbishment of catering appliances. Speed of response to call-outs. Advice on replacement equipment. Gas inspections – an appointment must be made with the school prior to the work being carried out. Contractors will be required to undertake work whilst causing the minimum disruption to the service. All call outs must be instigated by a member of the catering office team and not by the kitchens managers.
