Strood Civic Site - Procurement of the Development Partner

Tender description

The former Civic Centre site is a 3.4 hectare prestigious regeneration scheme within the Thames Gateway, in close proximity to Rochester and the high speed rail line to Central London. The scheme is solely owned by Medway Council who have invested substantial funds in site preparation and flood risk management infrastructure works to enable the comprehensive regeneration of the site. The key objective is to transform the area into an area of prime, high quality residential led mixed use development with premium housing, offering fantastic views of Rochester Castle and Rochester Cathedral and access to the River Medway. The estimated duration of the contract between the successful Bidder, the Authority is expected to be in the region of 10 years but will be dependent on proposals put forward by the Bidder.
