Bath and North East Somerset Council are looking to procure a contractor to provide Highway and Public Realm Lighting Maintenance and Improvement Services. Bath and North East Somerset Council are looking to procure a contractor to provide Highway and Public Realm Lighting Maintenance and Improvement Services. The contractor will be required to provide the service, which is the maintenance and improvement of the highway and public realm lighting assets within the boundaries of Bath and North East Somerset. This includes highway lighting units, illuminated signs and bollards and lighting units in car parks, parks and other spaces for which the client is responsible. The service comprises: 1) Routine Services comprising: (a) general maintenance: repairs and maintenance of the affected property by the contractor to maintain the affected property to the target standard of performance; (b) cyclical maintenance: cleaning, data verification, electrical testing and bulk lamp change (non-LED assets) of the Affected Property; (c) emergency: provision of standby service; 2) Non-routine services: replacement of damaged and/or dangerous equipment, minor improvements and 24/7 emergency response; 3) Asset improvements: lamp column replacement programme and other improvement schemes. There are approximately 15589 LED lighting units (street lights), 655 other lighting units, 1838 traffic signs and 789 traffic bollards in the district of Bath and North East Somerset.
