Summary of the work A Technical Project Manager is required to deliver the integration of several chat applications and capabilities across multiple Defence infrastructure hosting environments at multiple security domains at both fixed and deployed sites. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 12 Months with options to extend for 2 x 6 months Latest start date Monday 7 October 2019 Maximum Day Rate £800 per day (Ex. VAT) Maximum £12,000 limit of liability for T&S over duration of 12 month contract to be paid in line with MoD Rates. Who Speclialist Work With Civilian, Military and Contractors within the MOD and wider Defence Industry. What Specialists Work On Management and Delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Work with Stakeholders to manage deployment of chat applications on hosting infrastructures. Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of chat capabilities. Operate as a full member of the team; supporting the Programme Director and other team members as directed. Project manage all aspects of specific work packages. Work with Stakeholders to ensure design, delivery, technical build; testing requirements etc are managed and delivered. Working with the Design team to secure stakeholder sign off at all stages. Develop stakeholder communication and management plans. Skills & Experience • Experience as a Technical IT Project Manager in a similar organisation 20% • Experience of working with C4ISR or related applications 15% • Experience of dealing with remote groups of stakeholders and managing expectations and communications between disparate groups 15% • Knowledge and experience of MOD risk management and scheduling process 15% • IT literate with experience using project management tools and applications such as EPM, ARM, ADAM etc 15% • Ability to analyse and comment on technical design documentation 10% • Excellent communication skills 10% Nice to Haves • Experience of Chat applications 25% • Experience of working within a Defence related environment 25% • Experience of liasing with industry partners 25% • Ability to gather, analyse and present accurate, consistent messages to senior mananagent boards 25% Work Location ISS, Mustang Building and Building 405 on Westwells Road, Corsham, SN13 9NR. Additional travel to various MOD premises and Industry partner locations in the UK (in line with MOD rates). Working Arrangments Most work will be undertaken at MoD Corsham and the successful candidate will work from this location between 4 and 5 days per week. The working days is 8 hours to include 30 minutes for lunch. Some work will be conducted at other MoD and industry partner sites in the UK. Opportunities for occasional home working are at the discretion of the hiring manager. This individual will report to the C212 Programme Manager in ASDT. Security Clearance DV clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects the individual is required to work with.
