Tender description

The authority is reviewing how recyclable materials collected via both our household collection service and network of Household Recycling Centres (HRC) are transported, stored, processed and brokered. The authority has published a preliminary market consultation to understand the market’s appetite to tender for aspects of this work. The authority currently operates a mix of in house and external household waste collection services. From 1.4.2020 we will deliver all services in house including the kerbside recycling box collection service. In addition the authority has a number of skip framework contracts which service our Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) which are due to end on the 31.3.2020. The authority sees this is an opportunity to review how recyclable materials collected via both our household collection service and network of Household Recycling Centres (HRC) are transported, stored, processed and brokered. The authority is keen to understand the market’s appetite to tender for aspects of this work.
