Niobium material for DUNE PIP-II High Beta SRF Cavities (Prototype and Series Production)

Tender description

This requirement is separated into two different procurements. The scope of the procurement 1 (Prototype Production) is to include: • The supply of high purity Niobium material in semi-finished form for the 1off prototype DUNE PIP-II High Beta SRF Cavities operating at 650 MHz • The supply of high purity Niobium material in semi-finished form for the 20 off series production DUNE PIP-II High Beta SRF Cavities operating at 650 MHz. • The supplier shall provide a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), detailing all necessary quality activity for the execution of the contracts, which shall be approved by UKRI STFC. • The supplier shall deliver formal reports and documentation to UKRI STFC including technical analysis, quality control measurements, materials analysis data and specific inspection reports • Delivery of niobium material to UKRI STFC or its designated representative, under Delivered, Duty Paid (DDP) incoterms (VAT exempt) The estimated value of this opportunity is £70,000 - £90,000 excl. VAT, with an estimated date for publication of contract notice on Contracts Finder being October 2019. The scope of procurement 2 (Series Production) is to include: • The supply of high purity Niobium material in semi-finished form for the 20 off series production DUNE PIP-II High Beta SRF Cavities operating at 650 MHz • The supplier shall provide a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), detailing all necessary quality activity for the execution of the contract, which shall be approved by UKRI STFC. • The supplier shall deliver formal reports and documentation to UKRI STFC including technical analysis, quality control measurements, materials analysis data and specific inspection reports • Delivery of niobium material to UKRI STFC or its designated representative, under Delivered, Duty Paid (DDP) incoterms (VAT exempt) The estimated value of this opportunity is £1.4m excl. VAT, with an estimated date for publication of contract notice on Tenders Electronic Daily and Contracts Finder being September 2020.
