Somerset County Council is tendering for a specialist integrated domestic abuse service to support the delivery of the wider domestic abuse strategy, with a vision to ‘... lead a coordinated effort to both prevent and reduce incidences of all types of domestic abuse and sexual violence in Somerset. Everyone can contribute to raise awareness of not just the effects that this has, but to challenge those who tolerate it and help protect those affected.’ Somerset Domestic Abuse Strategy (2017-2020). The main outcomes for Somerset’s Integrated Domestic Abuse Service are: — access to safe accommodation for the client and the family, — clients to have confidence, knowledge and skills to live free from domestic abuse, — for perpetrators, have the understanding that their behaviour is not lifelong and have the skills and intention to not harm others, — for children, be able to live in a safe environment without past trauma having a lifelong impact, — access to step-up/step-down flexible enabling support.
