Improving the skills of the mainstream health and care workforce to promote the physical health of people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism

Tender description

The primary objective of this procurement is to raise awareness of symptoms of physical health problems and how to take effective action to health and care staff who have some contact with people with Learning Disabilities. This will be achieved through a blend learning resources and styles to fit around the needs of the workforce. Through developing the understanding and awareness staff will be able to: • recognise how individuals with LD communicate discomfort /concerns and making appropriate referrals for investigation • detect symptoms /conditions that may need further investigation • Support people with Learning Disabilities to improve their wellbeing and quality of life • contribute to reducing early mortality for people with Learning Disabilities Keywords: Autism, Learning Disabilities
