GB-Shrewsbury: DONV 011 - Viability and Deliverability Study

Tender description

The purpose of the commission is to inform: •The ongoing Local Plan Review; •The application of appropriate Affordable Housing policy and contribution rates; and •Following the completion of the Local Plan Review, the preparation of an updated Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule. The assessment should ensure that the draft Local Plan is viable and deliverable. Specifically, it should ensure that: •The draft Local Plan vision, objectives, policies and proposals (individually and cumulatively) are viable and the plan is deliverable. •The scale and distribution of development identified in the plan is viable and deliverable within the draft Local Plan period, informed by an assessment of market capacity. •The sites/types of sites identified in the plan are viable within the plan period (individually and cumulatively) and determine whether there is potential for further developer contributions to infrastructure (other than that necessary to make the development suitable in planning terms); and/or further contributions to the provision of affordable housing. Shropshire Council is looking to appoint a suitable contractor to complete the Viability and Deliverability Assessment by the 31st January 2020.
