UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) will shortly be embarking on an Open OJEU procurement to establish a Framework contract for procure providers of an Acceleration Programme to support our Energy Catalyst Programme. It is anticipated that this framework will be split in into Lots. The Lot 1 provider will be responsible for the development and delivery of the ECAP. This will include: - Assessing the needs of the Energy Catalyst Grant recipients - Allocating a business coach to each project for bespoke, hands-on 1:1 support - Providing, according to project needs, technical experts on business subject matter applied in SSA/SA, area ssuch as: o Commercialisation of energy innovation o Business plans and models for overseas markets o Fundraising, negotiations and pitch support The key responsibilities under this lot are: Project specific support - Conduct an assessment of Energy Catalyst Round 7 grant recipients and work with project team to understandtheir specific needs in relation to business support - Develop and provide Innovate UK and project teams an acceleration plan for each project - Provide each project with a business coach for 1:1 support, both project partners both in the UK and overseas o At least 4 visits per 12 months by to mentor to the UK based project team (all project years) o At least 2 visits per 12 months by mentor to overseas project partners ( at least year 1 of project) o At least monthly telephone/video conference with project team o Ad-hoc email correspondence when required Cross project support - Produce and keep up to date, commercialisation guides detailing sector and country specific information to bemade publicially available - Delivery a 'Introduction to ECAP' at the beginning of Energy Catalyst Rounds. The aim of this week is to: o Introduce the project teams to their Business Coach and Innovate UK Monitoring Officer o Provide introductory learning, specific to projects needs dirrived from information knowledge gained from assessing the project needs o Provide workshops on gender equality and social inclusion o Develop a cohort ethos through networking and cross-project learning Delivery 'End of year' ECAP event o Disseminate lessons learnt by projects o Facilitate Innovator to Investment engagement and links to follow on funding - Provide opportunities for engagement with investors Lot 2 As part of the Energy Catalyst Accelerator Programme, we wish to transfer as much learning between our grant recipients and their partners, the broader TEA family, both overseas and in the UK and any other additional organisations or individuals working within this sector. We require a series of UK and overseas events and engagement activities which bring together UK and sub-saharna Africa and South Asia delegates. The key responsibilities of this provider are: - Delivery at least 2 UK events per year (2019/20 & 2020/21) to be attended by both Energy Catalyst Projects and their overseas partners Lot 3 details can be seen below
